Safety screening policy for funded organisations

Safety screening plays an important role in providing a safer service delivery for people who receive support from community services organisations funded or registered by various departments within Victoria.

The aim of the Safety Screening policy is to minimise harm to vulnerable people by strengthening protections and safeguards through the safety screening process.

We require funded and/or registered organisations who provide services to clients in the Victorian health and community services sector to undergo safety screening checks.

The Safety Screening policy policy is effective as of 1 January 2020.
