The purpose of the accreditation is to provide appropriately qualified professionals such as fire safety engineers, building surveyors or building inspectors to audit and assess fire risk.
They also:
- Recommend steps to minimise fire risk
- Assess and report on acceptable standards of fire safety
- Assess and report on specific settings in accordance with the Capital development guidelines - series 7.
