2021 June Storm and Flood Targeted Recovery Funding Initiative

Funding for initiatives aimed at connecting and supporting people most at risk in the community after an emergency.

The $1 million Storm and Flood Targeted Recovery Funding Initiative funded programs was designed to assist those most at risk after emergencies to recover, connect and rebuild their lives through empowerment, resilience and developing strategies to minimise the impacts of future emergencies. The program closed on June 30, 2023.

Who could apply for funding

The Storm and Flood Targeted Recovery Funding Initiative was open to any organisation that has a Funding and Service Agreement with DFFH to establish locally led programs to assist these most at risk groups, individuals and communities impacted by the June 2021 storm and flood event.

What was funded

Staff wages to deliver the program, program costs including equipment and venue hire, and other associated costs could be funded under the initiative.

Successful applicants

Applications for the Targeted Recovery Funding initiative were reviewed and assessed. Successful applicants should have delivered their funded project or program by the end of 2022.
