Automatic shutdown of devices or equipment is required within a building where clients reside, primarily to reduce the potential impact of fire and to minimise the severity and migration of smoke. It is recognised that ducted heating/cooling systems present a risk of smoke and fire spread in a building and therefore it must be managed from a fire safety perspective.
