Fire Risk Management - Practice note - 2014-04 - Emergency lighting (word)

Applies to Supported Community-Based Houses (CDG 7.4) and Community-Based Houses (CDG 7.7). The objectives of the guidelines are to ensure that occupants are safeguarded from injury during movement into, within and out of buildings. Exits and egress paths are required to be illuminated and therefore must be provided with emergency lighting so that in the case of failure of the normal lighting, or in an emergency, swift and safe evacuation of a building will be possible.
